Shoshazan Engyoji Temple

The Memorial Service / the Prayer Service

How to Apply the Daily Memorial Service of Ancestors
the Personal Prayer Service

We recommend you to hold the memorial service first
for your ancestors with us before the personal prayer service.

The wish to be happy is a basic desire present in the minds of all beings.

This instinct is a right of all beings and should not be thought of as negative or greedy.

We pursue happiness, so to speak, by instinct, and it means we are living.

Let us remember what we owe to our ancestors including our parents. Without whom we could never have found this precious human existence. To repay their kindness we can hold a memorial service.

We recommend you to hold the memorial service first for your ancestors with us before the personal prayer service.

*Applications made by 16:00 each afternoon will be practiced at the evening meditation session. The memorial service fee can be paid afterward.

We welcome applications from any Buddhist sect.
